I just finished watching Sunshine Cleaning, an interesting movie released earlier this year. I had been wanting to see this for a while now after hearing good things, so I was glad to finally see it offered free via my cable TV plan.
First, I’ll fill you in on a basic synopsis of the movie without giving anything away. This is a movie starring Amy Adams as Rose Lorkowski and Emily Blunt as Norah Lorkowski, two sisters in their late 20s or early 30s, living in New Mexico. Having had a tough bringing without their mother, who passed away at a very young age, the two were raised by a loving father. Rose has a son named Oscar (Jason Spevack) who is probably about 8 years old.
Oscar has seemingly had some difficulties growing up without a father, but all in all, he’s a well educated boy, though a misunderstood one. Rose and Emily have both been struggling to find their way, running into financial difficulties in the process. Their father doesn’t seem to be much better off himself, though he’s found a way to get by.
